DIRECTOR

Ty Hodges is a mul/hyphenate ar/st, encompassing roles as an actor, writer, 
director, and musician, with roots tracing back to Barbadian and Trinidadian 
heritage. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Miami, Florida, his journey 
gained momentum when he secured the lead role in Janet Jackson's "GO DEEP" 
music video.
His presence on The Disney Channel, notably as Larry Beale in "EVEN STEVENS" 
and Larry Houdini in "DON'T LOOK UNDER THE BED," solidified his early success. 
Ty expanded his repertoire, portraying LiSle Richard in "THE YOUNG LITTLE 
RICHARD STORY" and contribu/ng to Oprah Winfrey's "DAVID AND LISA" 
alongside esteemed actors.
Venturing into wri/ng and direc/ng in 2006, Ty's feature film "MILES FROM 
HOME" received acclaim, winning fes/val awards for wri/ng, direc/ng, and his 
lead performance. Subsequent projects include "YOU, ME & THE CIRCUS," "VIDEO 
GIRL," "CHARLIE, TREVOR AND A GIRL SAVANNAH," and "A GIRL LIKE GRACE."
In 2021, his film "VENUS AS A BOY" premiered at Tribeca Film Fes/val, featuring 
an ensemble cast and currently streaming on Hulu. Simultaneously, Ty released 
an EP, 'Palmtrees and Powerlines,' under BRITISH BROOKLYN for the film.
Ty Hodges is presently immersed in his eighth feature, "LOVE ME IN PARIS?," 
where he serves as writer, director, and producer. Filmed in Paris, France, this 
project aligns with his commitment to THANK YOU MUSIC&FILM, a produc/on 
company co-founded with his talented brother Aaron Hodges. Their mission 
involves cultural contribu/ons through music, television, and film and all media.
